Celtic & Co welcomes new Managing Director

EXCEPTIONAL FULL YEAR PERFORMANCE FROM DIGITAL SUSTAINABLE FASHION PIONEER

Results for the 12 months ended January 31st, 2021

Celtic & Co, the pioneering, digitally native, retailer of ethically sourced, natural and sustainable knitwear, footwear and outerwear is delighted to announce a further year of strong growth. In the context of a world in significant flux, Celtic & Co’s core principles have increasingly resonated, significantly building our customer base in the UK and Internationally.

Against a backdrop of our continued growth, we are delighted to announce the appointment of James Williams as Managing Director. James has a decade of digital ‘direct to consumer’ experience with mainstream brands including Jigsaw and Phase Eight and will join Celtic & Co at the End of May 2021 from the ethical and organic children’s clothing brand Frugi. 

  • Sales growth of +77% to reach £16.0 million
    • International sales growth of +82%, to exceed 30% of brand revenue
    • Profitable online launch into Germany, with Japan targeted for H2 2021
  • Underlying EBITDA growth of +224% to reach £2.9 million
    • Investment into opening of new warehouse facilities completed in March 2021
    • Over £4 million cash on balance sheet to broaden the brand’s international reach
  • James Williams to join as MD and lead the existing senior team
    • Board further bolstered by experienced non-executive hires
