Product Details

Our Popper Boots can be worn two ways - rolled down to reveal a fleecy contrast cuff or poppered up for extra warmth on chilly days. These versatile boots are handcrafted in Cornwall, from premium British sheepskin and feature double-stitched seams and tonal ridged soles. Choose from two heights and three neutral colours.

  •  100% sheepskin
  •  Height 43cm
  •  Made in Great Britain
  •  Machine Washable with Celtic Wool Wash

Available in:

Calf height: 29cm
Knee height: 43cm

Tip - Leave poppers done up when first trying them on. It will often feel as if the skin can't stretch around your calf if undone, however leaving them done up and slip your foot in like a normal boot, should over come this.

When trying on your footwear for the first time, it may feel very tight across your toes and instep. This is nothing to worry about, as within an hour or so of wearing, the boots or slippers will loosen off as the wool starts to bed down and mould to your feet. So do not order a size bigger than you usually wear, otherwise they will end up too big for you. If you know you are a half size – then we recommend buying the size down unless you regularly buy up a half size.

Machine Washable

We recommend that you wash boots & slippers on a maximum of 30 degree wool cycle, using ONLY  Celtic Wool Wash liquid that is suitable for automatic washing machines.

  • Do not soak
  • Do not use fabric conditioner
  • Do not use artificial heat to dry
  • Do not dry directly in Sunlight

I received these boots today and from experience of buying footwear online expected to return them for another size, or to keep them but feel a little disappointed. But these boots are a revelation! Soft, warm sheepskin and a brilliant fit. They shout quality. I'm so pleased. Celtic have a new fan for life.

So pleased to hear this Allison. May you enjoy a chilly winter with toasty toes! :)

I love theses boots . They are just what I wanted, knee length, sheepskin, so nice and warm, fasteners down the side to get on easily. I love the colour, ‘mocha’ , I wasn’t sure which colour to order but am well pleased with my choice. I have only one problem, I have difficulty fastening one popper on each boot as they are not quite wide enough. I am hoping that as the sheepskin beds down that will be resolved. I didn’t think I had fat calves! Obviously I need to diet.

I bought these boots about 3 years ago, but did not want to leave a review until I'd worn them for a couple of winters. I can honestly say these boots are one of the best purchases I've ever made. I absolutely love them! They are extremely comfy even on long walks. As I feel cold so easily I wore them in the house last winter. They kept me that warm I had to turn down the heating a couple of degrees!! So not only are these boots a great investment in terms of comfort & looks but saving me money too!! Many thanks, Celtic & Co.

I'm an ardent fan of Celtic & Co boots - have purchased several pairs/styles over the years - all very robust wear, good to look at (fit with many different dress styles) and wonderfully comfortable. These new boots are, as always, excellent. I'm quite short (5' 3") so they actually come right up just over the base of my knee which I love - they look very good and feel glorious. I'm just wishing I'd got them earlier in the year because I've not much wearing time left before they have to go into hibernation for the summer. On the happily positive side - the usual gloom of autumn arriving will greatly mitigated by my being able look forward to an entire stylish and toasty winter wearing them! Also would like to add that they arrived in record time - very efficient service - many thanks.
