We've listened to our customers on this one. You wanted classic style with a contemporary twist and our Venetian slippers absolutely deliver.

Infused with all the quality you've come to expect and crafted in pure British sheepskin, these slide-on shoes feature a full slipper construction, a braided trim and a soft sole in lightweight suede for non-slip comfort.

Our rivet hallmark sits towards the topline, bringing home an unmistakable finish.

      • 100% sheepskin
      • Made in Britain
      • Suede and rubber sole
      • Machine washable with Celtic Wool Wash

When trying on your footwear for the first time, it may feel very tight across your toes and instep. This is nothing to worry about, as within an hour or so of wearing, the boots or slippers will loosen off as the wool starts to bed down and mould to your feet. So do not order a size bigger than you usually wear, otherwise they will end up too big for you. If you know you are a half size – then we recommend buying the size down unless you regularly buy up a half size.

      Care

30 degree gentle machine wash. Put the boots in a pillowcase to avoid drum marks from the washing machine. Machine wash on a 30 degree wool cycle with Celtic Wool Wash. This is the only wool wash that has been tried and tested over many years on our sheepskin footwear, so while others are available we can’t be sure that you will get the same results if you use them.

This is my fourth pair of celtic ballerina slippers. They are long lasting, warm and comfortable and I couldn't imagine wearing anything else.

I have purchased Venetian slippers for a number of years and I have always been delighted with them. Initally I was pleased with this pair but the inside seam had been badly cut, making them unwearable as they scratched the top of my foot. Even more disappointing is your policy of not exchanging - even damaged goods so I was left with no option but to return them for a refund.

Good morning, we are sorry to hear that there was an issue with the Venetian Slippers, upon checking you account a member of our team has been in contcat with you and a replacement or refund was offered. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Kindest regards Celtic & Co

Love these slippers - first pair and they are exactly what I was after! Fit well, high back, ideal. Looked to buy a pair for my husband but not available. Shame!

I have been getting these slippers for Christmas for several years. They tend to last a year or two, but the biggest drawback is that the rubber sole, which is stitched onto the base of the slippers, tends to come off - because walking makes the thread in the stitches come apart. They are partially glued on as well, but the problem is they are not covering the whole bottom of the sole. There is just a footprint shaped cut out of rubber stitched and glued onto the bottom of the sole. If the rubber sole covered the whole of the bottom of the slipper, and stitched to the upper at the sides, this issue would not happen. It's happened with every single pair I've had, and in the end there's this flap of rubber. Just flapping around tripping me up, which is actually quite dangerous. So I end up pulling them off myself at that stage. The leather on the base of the slipper is perfectly good for walking, so I would say either don't bother putting on this partial rubber sole or make the sole cover the whole of the bottom of the slipper. It's such a recurrent issue that I'm considering buying a different style of slipper this year. Another issue is that I have very wide feet and the stitching at the sides of the slipper starts to come apart after a year or so.

Thank you for your feedback which we will pass to the product team. The Venetian Slippers are soft soled slippers and the patches are designed to give an added layer to prevent slipping. We are sorry that in the past you have had issues with these coming away, we would always be happy to have them returned to us for assessment. Kind regards Celtic & Co.

Nice colour and very good quality sheepskin I’m sure will be warm Not the most glamorous when on but I’m sure I will love them for the warmth, hopefully will last a long time as a considered purchase. I tend to find the bottoms become slippery if you have a wooden floor so 🤞

These slippers are very comfortable, and incredibly durable. Not only do I love wearing them, but my previous pair lasted 6 years in great condition!

I love these slippers and have been buying them for several years. This is my third pair. They are a brilliant design. I live in a house with lots of carpeted stairs. The slippers have a very grippy sole and are full slippers (ie not mules, they have a back) so fit securely. They are therefore very safe on stairs. They are also warm and elegant. As they point out, the sheepskin squishes down on first wearing making them a perfect size 4 for me. They last for years. Very highly recommended. I wish they made them in blue too!

My third purchase of these slippers over quite a few years. Very comfortable fit and the heel stays on, unlike other slippers. A slight gripe this time is that the stiff binding hasn't been fully trimmed inside and I can feel it sticking into my foot when not wearing socks - but I'm hoping to trim this myself

Very sadly had to return. Unfortunately they are nowhere near the quality of my previous pair. A very poor imitation: rough edges, poorly stitched, shedding - a lot, arrived crumpled from being wrapped at speed & stuffed into the same box as a pair of boots I’d ordered. Zero quality control. Had I intended to give these as a gift - I’d have been embarrassed. Even the box they came in had a sticker showing a different product - it was clearly being reused. Ordinarily I’d commend this ‘green’ thinking, but in this case it just felt careless & symptomatic of the sad degradation of what used to be a quality product.

Good morning, we are very sorry to hear this and we will investigate this with our warehouse. Our sincere apologies for the disappointment caused, we will contact you directly to assist further. Kindest regards Celtic & Co.

I love the look of the slippers, and the merlot colour is beautiful. For me they are a little straight across the toe so that they feel marginally short, but I think the larger size would be too big on the foot, and I’m hoping they will stretch a bit as the wool flattens. Other than that they are beautifully comfortable, and I love the new soft soul with patches.

Lovely slippers, my third pair. Warm and cosy in winter and wearable through the summer as the sheepskin regulates temperature - mostly. Grippy and stand up to quick forays to the bin/garden. Also wash quite well if necessary.

This is my second pair of these as I love them. I have extremely sensitive feet and I must admit I am fussy, particularly when spending this amount of money. I'm old, therefore I need a pair of slippers the fit properly and are secure with a good grip. These fit the bill. I am normally a 4.1/2 and 5's are too big. I worried these would be too small, however, once your feet have made their mark in them by moving the fleece they fit like a glove. The curve to them also makes you not 'shuffle' which is important for anyone. Best ever slippers.

I love the Venetian slippers, but would have liked to be able to by a size 5.5 - 6 is just a little too big and 5, which I tried and have passed on, was a little too tight.

      C
      Catherine Walker

I was glad that I went for size 6 (am often a 5) as the fit is quite tight. Very cosy and pretty much perfect but the cut is short across the toes leaving a lot of my foot exposed so I feel I need to wear socks, which detracts from the feel of the sheepskin.

I have always been a size 5 in Celtic boot type slipper but had to return size 5 in Venetian for a 6, I have just purchased a second pair of Venetian for my daughter, her second pair, I am due a second pair too, very comfortable, hard wearing, still on my boot pair at the moment, great slippers

My second pair, as good as the first which have almost worn out.

This is my second pair of venetian slippers. The first pair have been worn pretty much all day every day for about 3 years and are being kept for the summer as the structure of the slipper is still very much in tact - i have just worn away all the sheepskin fur on the inside! So a new pair have been bought for the winter to make the most of the super furry lining.

These are lovely slippers but in the process of the wool bedding down, I quickly got a corn on one foot and possibly the other. The sole is the same size as my previous (not Celtic) slippers so I suggest the size needs to be increased slightly or a half size produced,

This is my second review on the pair I received for Christmas 2021, as I have now washed them. They were starting to get a bit tired looking and the fur inside was quite squashed and not as warm. I washed them using Celtic wool wash on the 30 minute quick setting and dried them on top of a towel on the radiator. They have come up almost like new on the inside and just as soft and very warm again. The outside feels slightly rough but look very clean. The grip on the base remains functional. Very pleased with their durability.

This is the third year that I have bought a pair to see me through the winter so I'm clearly very happy with them.

These slippers are nice and comfortable, but I’ve only had them a couple of weeks and they’ve already stretched a bit and lots of fluff from the sheepskin comes out of the slipper. I had a pair of the Ballerina style slippers previously and wore them virtually every day for two years and they were perfect. The Venetians are a disappointment in comparison. Bring back the Ballerinas!

Thank you for your review. An email has been sent to you with instructions on returning the slippers to us where one of our team will assess them for you. Kind regards Celtic & Co

I love my new slippers in merlot colour. They are so comfy and the size 6 fits my size 38 slightly wider than average foot perfectly. It feels like I am walking around barefooted or slightly on air, albeit with warm feet. They also have very good grip on the soles so feels very safe walking downstairs in them. They are not particularly stylish but who cares.

I asked for these slippers as a Xmas present. I really liked the shape which is a bit different, they are made in UK and with UK sheep wool (all things that I look out for). They keep your feet just warm enough at the right temperature, without sweating. As written on the information, they are a very tight fit when you first try them on but don’t think that they are too small; they mould to your foot shape and then fit perfectly after a couple of days. I would definitely recommend them.
