Strap Detail Mid Calf Boot

I bought a pair of these boots in November 2024 and started wearing them after Christmas 2024 (they were meant as a Christmas present from my husband).

I have just put them on again as the weather has begun to turn, and much to my disappointment the leather is detaching from the sole at the crease around the toe. I have looked after them - they are regularly treated with leather cream, and apart from the detachment of the upper part of leather from the sole, they still look great.

This is actually the second pair of boots from Celtic that have done failed in this way. I glued the first pair multiple times, but got fed up of getting wet feet when it rained and in the end, threw them away.

I will take these ones to be professionally repaired, but I expected the boots to have some utility to them and not be 'fashion' boots. If the boots aren't meant to be walked in, sometimes several miles a day, what is the point of them.

I read reviews and people commented on scratches easily occurring, mine are perfect so far but I’m sure any scuffs will add to character! I bought a 38 because reviews said the sizing came up large, however the sizing seems accurate to me and I should have got the bigger size so I could wear thicker socks, and also they are difficult to get on, something I’ve never had in boots before. However I’m keeping the smaller size because they are very comfortable once on!

Love these boots! The finish is a sort of waxy coating, not a polished look which perhaps is what some might expect. Super comfortable straightaway - no breaking in needed and great quality!

Love the colour and very comfortable. Getting used to the rustic look, will look great after a few wears. Rather difficult removing. How to clean?

Love these chunky boots in rustic leather, perfect height to look great with jeggings tucked in, or tights or boot leg jeans over the top. Yes they do scuff, I sprayed mine with a protective nubuck spray, but that is part of the vibe. They are comfy to wear and the side zip means you don’t have to undo the laces ever. The olive colour is on trend this year and just a bit more personality than the usual black or brown.

Bought these boots for my daughter the first pair sent was unsatisfactory as one boot was very patchy the other was OK but I rang Celtic and they exchanged them with no fuss at all. The exchange was exemplary they sent Riyal Mail to pick them up from home snd and a new pair were delivered within 2 days so well done Celtic and co. The boots themselves are very nice though not my choice and they mark and crease really easily giving a worn faded look OK if this is your style. I do love their knits snd I also purchased the tweed culottes and I love them though they now seem to be out of stock.

Great in every way except, they are very hard to pull on. Which worries me the back of the heal inside will wear out before it should. But once in, they are fab.

Really nice pair of booths but had to return mine as it was a bit to chunky for me. Will order another style though

really disappointed with these boots. I bought them last winter and can count on one hand the number of times I've had them on. Where the leather has creased - round the ankle, across the front of the foot it has made them look faded and shabby. Even the slightest scuff looks a million times worse and you have to be so careful - even the slightest scratch from a finger nail putting them on leaves a nasty mark. I know it is advertised as rustic leather but you shouldn't have to be so careful with them as this. The boots also lack the shine you see on the photos - they are much more of a matt finish.

I bought these boots in August 2023 and have had to have them in for repair several times since then. First of all, there were no eyelets for the laces, so to minimize wear on the boot, I had them added. Then the inner sole peeled up and had to be reglued. Then the ankle strap tore off and had to be resewn. Most recently, the soles cracked and the shoe repair experts I go to alerted me that the boots have a fake welt which makes re-soling difficult; they'd have to replace the whole fake welt. I've probably already spent the $295 I originally paid over again in repairs. The boots are very comfortable, even for long-distance walking, and look great, and it's not easy to find boots that fit wider calves, but even so the durability is too far lacking for me to ever buy these again.

These have been my go to boots for two winters. I've worn them through snow and rain and they have held up beyond my expectations. Looking at another pair, but they are currently out of black.

Comfortable boots, no bedding in or blisters, haven't worn any other boots since they arrived. Look great with jeans and leggings. Very happy with them.

Very poor quality, even if they were half this price. It is as if the leather has buckled in on itself, across the top of the boot where the toe reinforcement ends and all I have done is try them on. I returned the first pair without even trying them on as they were scuffed. These also have scuffs and I can tell that after wearing them the scuffing will increase. They look great in the photos but not so when seeing them in the flesh. I will be returning them. Very disappointing.

Green- very disappointing. I own these in every color as well as last year's model in Tanner's brown (so 2 brown pair)...I think this makes me pretty qualified to comment on the quality. The green pair is terrible and look used and old after one wear. The green does not wear the way the black and brown does and ends up looking bleached out and cheap. "First" world problem? 100%...still a lot of money for an item I cannot return.

Olive boots fit and are comfortable, BUT the leather scuffs and discolours and creases at the slightest touch and colour seems very much on the surface only. I'm now looking for boot polish or surface protection to minimise scuffs.

I am a 3 1/2 and the 36 or 3 are fine so I would say maybe size down. However I have narrow calves but these boots are good and I don’t feel I have too much room spare. They are very comfortable and the fit is great for me.

I’ve ordered 2 pairs of boots from Celtic & Co & both are so comfortable but this pair was disappointing. The leather is very hard & I couldn’t even get the left boot on without much effort! Walked around my living room on carpet & knew I’d get a blister on my heel if I walked out of the house!! Shame as they look lovely on the website…. Have had to return them.

I bought these for my daughter’s birthday as she likes green boots, cannot confirm yet if they are a good fit as she has not tried them, but she has small feet and they look all right to me. To me they look very ugly and clumpy, but I am old and not at all trendy, I am still wearing wellington boots I bought before the millenium

I was a bit worried ordering these as I have a pair of the Olive Wilderness which are quite narrow, but these are perfect, instantly comfy and had some great compliments when wearing them. Colour is superb, and wearing them is just making them better.
