Sheepskin Turnback Mules

Wasn’t sure about ordering these after reading previous reviews about being a narrow fitting. However, I am so pleased I did. Yes they felt quite tight and narrow at first wear but after following the advice that the pile would flatten quite quickly I persevered. They now feel super comfy, I love the quality and the colour too. Very happy 😀

Beautifully made and as comfortable as any slipper I’ve ever owned!

I’ve been buying these slippers for years. The quality this time was completely different - one slipper was ok but the other had been sewn so that it was a very odd shape. I had no choice but to return and won’t be ordering again.

We were really excited to try these after finding a company that made high-quality British made products, and not at a completely ridiculous price point (although these still are nearly twice as expensive as alternatives found at John Lewis and M&S and acknowledging these aren't British made). Unfortunately, even when ordering a size bigger than my partner's foot size, these weren't able to fit. The length was fine, but the width of these slippers are very narrow across the length of the entire shoe, particularly around the heel and where you put your foot inside. There's doubt, even if we went two sizes up, that these would fit. It's surprising that on the product page, the scale of true-to-size learns toward comes up large, particularly as there are a few reviews that highlight a similar experience to ours. Overall, disappointed, as we were expecting something really special for the price that was paid. We shall be returning these expecting a full refund, with the intention of shopping elsewhere. It is a shame, as we were keen to support a company producing ethical and British-made clothing.

My last pair of Celtic mule slippers lasted me for so many years I couldn’t bear to part with them! Even now I hid them away, just in case! These slippers are turning out to be a fine replacement so I am delighted! Thankyou

Bought on sale to replace a pair I bought a good few years ago that are now past their best. They are the same excellent quality so over their lifetime will be good value. Very soft and comfortable with hard wearing soles. The colour is a deep burgundy.

I ordered a pair of sheepskin slippers on the phone. The customer assistant was really helpful and advised me on sizing and style. My slippers arrived a couple of days later and they are beautiful and so comfortable and cosy. Its great to be able to buy British made and good quality footwear made with natural materials. Ordered 4 pairs of slippers for Christmas presents and very disappointed that they do not come in their own box, all the pairs were crammed into one delivery box.

Perfect fit nice and cosy - high quality slippers but have become quite pricey

I’m a 5.5 but find the 5 ok as I don’t want slippers to be too long for stairs

Even with a 15% off and free postage, these are not worth the price and I would not of bought for the price I paid if I had seen them in person

Love the look of these slippers but unfortunately they are very small fitting. Difficult to return as I took advice on the web site and tried wearing them in. Still very tight and uncomfortable. Pity as they look good but for me are unwearable. Very disappointed.

Had these for Christmas but sadly far too small - my daughters who are a size smaller than I am could hardly get them on. The quality is excellent however so I will just swap them for a larger size.

Be warned. They have changed the soles on these. Now very very very slippy on hard flooring (tiles, laminate, LVT). They are fine on carpet but barely possible to take a step onto hard flooring… my feet slide in all directions. I have bought these slippers for years (these area gift and my fourth pair)…the new soles look robust but seem similar to the soles on cheap supermarket slippers (I got these originally due to slipping over in a pair of supermarket slippers). I can’t even send this pair back as slipping over means I have spilt stuff on them).

Like the colour, but very disappointed with the fact that they are not colour fast, I dropped a spot of water on them and the dye came off, and there is a permanent mark on it. Not the quality I expected. ☹️

I love these slippers. I practically live in them since I work from home. I wore the bootee slippers for years, and loved them too, however this time I wanted a slip on for the warmer weather. They wash really well - I put them in a mesh bag and wash on a hand wool wash cycle with a gentle wool detergent, reshape, stuff with something to keep the shape (like paper towels) and let air dry. Perfect!

Once again a great buy. I like the sturdiness of them as I often leave them on when I go outside to get the washing in etc as I can’t be bothered changing shoes for a quick dash outside.

These get 3 stars for comfort, but sadly they didn’t last. The beds wore out quickly and it took me quite a long time to figure out that the black fluff bits stuck to my feet were from the degrading toebeds of my slippers!

Chosen for me as a Christmas gift.Very narrow fitting and the soles are quite hard and narrow . Not the luxury I was looking for. Well made.

Very pleased with these mules . It is taking some time for them to stretch a little so my feet are right to the end but I only wear them at bedtime. Very cosy and fit well.

One smaller than the other! I wish Celtic would put sizes on soles then you could tell if it was a mistake or not.

Lovely quality and gorgeous colour. Very warm and comfortable. Ordering was straightforward and delivery ( standard) took four days. Delighted C and Co are using Royal Mail rather than a hit and miss delivery firm.

last time I bought these slippers the size 4 fitted me perfectly - this time the right foot is far too small. Difficult to return as you do need to wear them in a bit as the lining needs to bed down a bit inside. The size bigger might be too big ......

Lovely well made slippers but the colour was a bit bright for me. I would have returned for a different colour but it seems that it's not possible to just ask for a replacement to be sent when you return which means I would have lost my discount voucher if I'd re-ordered another pair. I'll just have to hope they fade a bit.

I bought these and hoped they would stretch as I have a high instep. Unfortunately they never stretched enough to be truly comfortable and stay on properly and I have finally abandoned them. The length and width were perfect. It was just the height. Expensive mistake. Lovely slippers, just not for me.

The materials were good and the slippers felt warm. Unfortunately they had a narrow a sole . I have returned them and await a refund. I liked the colour.

Comfortable, soft and warm. My only criticism is that the footbed sheepskin is a different colour to the collar, but I appreciate that is must be so much easier to produce a standard footbed to use across all the colour choices
