Care

30 degree gentle machine wash. Put the boots in a pillowcase to avoid drum marks from the washing machine. Machine wash on a 30 degree wool cycle with Celtic Wool Wash. This is the only wool wash that has been tried and tested over many years on our sheepskin footwear, so while others are available we can’t be sure that you will get the same results if you use them.

These are brilliant, I use them in my bootee slippers when the wool inevitably starts to get thin, gives them a new lease of life. Also use them in my work boots in the Winter as I work outside. They are oversized but that is all to the good as they are easily cut to size.

Have got the insole ready ahead of winter to put in doc marten boots. Lovely and soft and thicker than expected. Will be easy to cut to size. Great price.

Perfect. Second time buying this. Last bought 8 years ago to put in my winter boots. Only needing to replace these now as the quality was excellent. Warm. Comfortable. Ordered my usual size 3. A little bigger but my boots are a little bigger and these fit perfectly. I'm sure they would be easy to cut if needed

This about the sheepskin inserts I ordered, one pair size 5, one pair size 6. Both pairs are considerably oversized, but should be fairly easy to cut down, so generally satisfied.

bought these before they keep the feet nice and toasty

Celtic & Co. are a wonderful company, always helpful, generous and professionally friendly. Mishaps can occur, mistakes will be made occasionally, it's part of being human. But it's how you deal with problems -- that's the important thing. I can't recommend this firm and their lovely products highly enough.

I have purchased several pairs of these insoles for my Celt house boots which I purchased in 2018, they have always been perfect for me and long lasting….also the boots are amazing I wear them every day as they stay the same temperature, wash well too.

Very cosy - these innersoles will extend the life of my sheepskin slippers as the sheepskin on the foot-bed always wears out before the upper. It would be good to have the option of buying innersoles at a discount when buying slippers.

Insoles came up big so I cut them to the correct size to fit my sheepskin slippers. They have made my slippers so cosy. Thank you

The insoles were easily cut to fit my boots, so totally pleased with them. Much better to be a little on the big size as if they had been small they would have to be returned.

These are not insoles - they are floppy strips of sheepskin cut into the shape of a shoe. So they don’t sit flat in your shoe, and bunch up under your foot. Very disappointed as I paid extra to get these as I thought they would be good and the reviews are good, but they aren’t fit for purpose so now I need to find some from elsewhere. They need structure to them like an insole usually has so they lie flat.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear you are disappointed in the sheepskin insoles, they are meant to be cut to size and fitted correctly should not bunch up. As long as they are unused/cut you can return them to us for a refund as per our terms and conditions. Kindest regards Celtic & Co

Lovely feel. Perfect way to renew my slipper booties. Bought size 7 for size 7 slippers, had to trim a little but better than being too small!

Second pair of these that I’ve had. Although expensive they are really warm and cosy and could be cut to the right size so definitely worth the extra.

Although I ordered size 4 to fit a size 6 Birkenstock clog it was still too big. I did not particularly want to cut to fit so I’ve used them in my wellies which are wide fit size 6. Although big ( be warned ) they have transformed the comfort and warmth of my wellies. I bought these as they are one of a few makes around that are plastic and latex free.

These are just perfect to have in my shoes and boots. Toasty and comfortable.

Fantastic quality. Nice and dense wool. Should have bought size smaller as mentioned by many as I had to cut quite a bit off. Very happy!

Totally RUBBISH. What this expensive website selling is not Insoles, this is a piece of ordinary Sheepskin , do not waste your money and time

Excellent thick and very warm sheep skin insoles. Importantly, the leather is thick enough to stop the insoles from crumpling up under the feet while walking as it has happened with sheepskin insoles by other companies. I ordered them in a size slightly larger than the shoes because I wanted to cut them to fit perfectly. I cut the tissue paper, in which the soles were wrapped, along the outside of the shoe, put it inside and flattened it along the inside walls of the shoe, cut the paper along the folded line, put it on the back of the insoles, drew around it with a biro, cut out the shape and had perfectly fitting insoles. I highly recommend them because, for me, they are the best. This is the second pair I bought from Celtic.

These are so comfortable. A size 6 fitted well into my 6.5 slippers and wellies, without any need to trim. They make a real difference in terms of warmth and cushioning.

There's a definite knack to these! Having read the reviews, I ordered the size 3 for a size 4 sheepskin boot.....no cutting needed, no slipping in the boot - Perfect! I have a new pair of trainers that are supposed to be a size 4 but seem to be half a size too big - solution: a pair of these insoles, but since this was for a trainer not a larger chunky boot, I bought the size 2....another perfect result!

The sheepskin insoles are wonderful, I use in my Ugg boots when the fur has flattened I ,also use them in my woodland boots

J
Janet Jones

Couldn’t quite get my head around these…too big to fit inside the boots I purchased with the order. I can cram them into the boot but sheepskin so high gives no room to fit foot in boot. I will attempt to flatten them inside a pair of wellies.

Good afternoon and thank you for your review of the sheepskin insoles, these can easily be trimmed by yourself at home if they are a little too big for you or of course you can return for a full refund if they are not suitable. Kind regards

My house boots feel like new again. I bought two pairs and the other pair have gone in my Doc’s.

Thick luxurious and warm insoles which can be trimmed to fit slippers and boots which have become too big.

C
Claire Braysher

Bought to extend the life of a pair of slippers. The sheepskin is deep and warm. I had to trim them slightly to fit inside the slippers but now my feet are always warm even with reduced heating.

I am so glad I bought these insoles. I have poor circulation in my feet and have been looking into buying some sheepskin slippers, but I also like wearing Birkenstock clogs because of the support they provide. These insoles give me the best of both worlds - now my clogs are warm and cosy. Other reviewers have said that the insoles shed a lot of sheepskin - this is simply because the insoles are cut from larger pieces of sheepskin and the edges aren’t sewn around, with the intention that they can be cut to the exact shape and size of your shoe. I also found that any sheepskin around the edges that is prone to falling off can be gently pulled away before placing inside a shoe - I did this and haven’t had any problems with shedding. I also found that I didn’t have to cut the insoles at all to fit inside my clogs, but Birkenstocks generally fit wider than a lot of shoes, so I suspect that some adjusting might need to be done for other kinds of shoes. Bear in mind that at first, having the insoles in your shoes does make your shoes feel a lot tighter, but I suspect that this will improve once the pile of the insoles flattens out a bit.

I was looking for genuine sheepskin insoles which were wider than the usual ones. These are generous and luxurious. Just be aware the backing is a natural skin and not the commonly used harder backing. So these are very gentle for dire and tender feet.

Annette Kramer

It's wonderful when it arrives - plump and snuggly. Everything about them is nice. Very quickly, however, these flatten out, and I couldn't tell they were there. I think they need some sort of backing to keep them warm and firm.

Dear Dr Kramer Thank you for providing us with your feedback. I will pass on your comments about how to improve the Sheepskin Insoles. If we can assist further, please contact us. Kind Regards Celtic & Co
