    Care

Hand wash only. When washing by hand, avoid twisting or wringing as this may damage the wool. Do not use fabric conditioner when washing.

To remove excess water from the garment we recommend wrapping it in a towel and gently squeezing it before leaving the item to dry. Do not put on a spin cycle.  Lay the product out flat to dry, do not hang your wool garments. Allow to dry naturally away from all artificial heat sources.

Let's be real and clear about what these are and who they're for: these are *totally seamless* wool knit trousers without a waistband, just a lightly elasticated area of the uninterrupted knit around the waist, designed to be folded down for comfort and shaping, and to stop the trousers falling directly off you.
The legs are long enough that a woman with a 31inch inseam can *sit* and *still have her ankles covered*.
These are for women with chronic pain, chronic illness or both. They are for Raynaud's in a wheelchair. They are for endo and adeno sufferers. They are for neurological pain that never ends. They are for people who have lost fat and muscle mass due to age or illness and can no longer tolerate sitting on seams. When your pain is too high to tolerate anything around your middle, when you're freezing cold and suffering, these are for you.
The only downside to these is that they are knitted exactly the same front and back, which means, for me, my bum is barely covered and there's a big empty pooch for tummy on the front. For some people this is going to be an ideal fit, for me it's not, but I don't care at all, because of the above.
Size large for a size 14/16, all hips thighs and bum.

I wanted some merino wool leggings or joggers for at home winter evenings. I’m a standard petite size 12. Leg length is fine as the jogger bottom means they don’t need taking up. Sadly the thickness is very thin/ fine. If you hold them up you can easily see the light through them and this means they really aren’t warm enough for winter evenings. I’m sad. I have been a Celtic customer for over 20 years. I will keep these for spring and hope I don’t wear through the bottom or crutch too soon. I fear they won’t last for many years. I have cardigans that are many years old.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry the Merino Lounge Pants were not suitable on this occasion. We do a slightly thicker pair - https://www.celticandco.com/womens/clothing/trousers-and-leggings/supersoft-wide-leg-lounge-pants?colour=59 you may find more suitable. I hope this helps. Kindest regards Celtic & Co

I bought it last year because I needed something to keep my legs warm but most of it because I needed comfort on my tummy as I spend a fair amount of time sitting. I am size 12 and it was perfect on my waste and it's still perfect 1 year after using it for 2 winters. Fantastic quality. I need to buy another one !! This is the only place in the UK that offer this legging .. Thank you.

These pants are very disappointed. They are very large, I am a UK 12. Medium size that I ordered if very big around the middle and a baggy fit. the legs are fine. I decided to keep them anyway as they are for lounging and warmth when sitting at home. They are warm. The crotch seam fell apart on first hand wash. Very disappointing and not worth the money. I should have send them back immediately.

Thank you for your review of the merino lounge pants, we have emailed you regarding this matter. Kind regards

I love these - so cosy, so comfy, so warm. I don't want to wear any other trousers now!

In 2007 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. One of my main symptoms is peripheral neuropathy and even when I am not experiencing a relapse, I feel nerve pain constantly. I tell you this because, clothing hurts, seams hurt, itchy fabric hurts and I have been searching for clothing that doesn't hurt for many years. I HAVE NEEDED SEAMLESS PANTS AND THESE PANTS HAVE CHANGED MY QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE BETTER! I see these pants as my lifeline and I buy a pair every few months so that I am stocked up, just in case your company were ever to stop making them. I PROMISE YOU THAT IF YOU CREATED MORE CLOTHES WITH THIS KNIT AND WITHOUT SEAMS THEN YOU WOULD REVOLUTIONIZE CLOTHING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SENSORY ISSUES LIKE ME. The first time I put on these pants I sat down and cried, I had so many countless days of pain, waiting and searching for a product like this and you have fulfilled my greatest need, to be comfortable and to feel stylish. Please never stop making these pants! I need them in order to be happy in my life. Also, please start marketing to people with sensory issues. They need you too!

Dear Ms. Selinsky, thank you for your review and lovely feedback. We are so pleased to hear that the Merino Lounge Pants have been suitable for you. We will pass on your suggestions to our product development team. Wishing you all the best. Kindest regards, the Celtic & Co. Team.

Unlike all other wool leggings I have had, I love that the waist band is not restrictive and does not get tighter with washing. Although these are twice the price of my other styles, they are the ones I wear the most, and therefore, in the end, they are value for money.

They are warm and cosy but try to move around in them and they end up falling down. I usually have to tuck them into the waistband of my pants to stop them falling down as much but they always end up exposing more of me than is decent! I definitely wouldn’t go out in them. A more elasticated waist would be useful.

Dear Jenna, thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry to hear that you are not happy with the Merino Lounge Pants. Please contact our customer services team on 0333 400 0044 if we can assist you further. We will pass on your feedback to our product development team in the meantime. Kindest regards, Celtic & Co.

I bought a few items from Celtic & Co, and on the most part have been pleased. I bought a knit that I have worn a few times per week since buying. I did not wear these lounge pants for a couple of months since buying, but decided to put them on for the first time today for a long walk. They have piled considerably on the inner thighs, and have developed a hole with a ladder in the crotch area. They will now have to be scruffs, and these trousers were quite expensive to have to be the worst item in my wardrobe by the time of considering washing them or wearing them for the second time.

I have owned a few pairs of these over the years and this is my second pair of the charcoal colour. I would say that they are looser around the knee and waist than my previous pair of the same size (M). Still very comfortable though.
