I began my search for a waxed jacket (like most people, I suppose) with a certain brand starting with the letter B. It turned out, however, that I had quite a bit of trouble finding the right size from that brand, so I started looking for alternatives. I haven’t the faintest idea how on earth I eventually stumbled upon Celtic&Co. (as their Google ranking isn’t great), but it turned out that this jacket is absolutely PERFECT. I usually wear a size L (I’m tall but quite slim), but they didn’t have my size in stock, so I took a chance and ordered an M (as jackets from brand B. are usually a bit larger too). The size turned out to be spot on. Compared to B., the jacket is slightly lighter and fits the body much better (it’s not as stiff). It’s undoubtedly more of an everyday item than a typical field jacket, but that doesn’t bother me at all. I’m writing this review after a month of use and so far I’m delighted; only the fabric on the sleeves (turned up) is pilling slightly, but I don’t think that’s a problem. The lining (made in Scotland) is beautiful, and the waxed cotton has such a naturally slightly vintage look. I hope the wax doesn’t wear off too quickly. I love this jacket’s detachable hood, though the drawstrings could be a bit longer. I wholeheartedly recommend this jacket!

I wanted this jacket for rainy and windy days, being able to verify that it fulfills its purpose. It has very good finishes and looks very elegant when worn. I normally wear an M, I'm 177cm tall and weigh 75kg, and I got an L with this jacket since I wear it with several layers of clothing, including a good wool sweater. Delighted with the purchase and the service. Quality at a good price
