Linen Blend Button Back Dress

I usually take a 12 but this was huge on me and in a very thin fabric that just flopped though I liked the print. As with the other garments I ordered, the size chart was really misleading - the garments are way bigger than the measurements on the chart

I was expecting traditional crisp linen but this was a jersey linen mix so have returned it. Have not yet received a refund. I was wondering whether you might have sent the wrong dress?

This is a lovely loose summer dress. I like the fact that it is not fitted because it makes it very flattering to wear. I was concerned that the back split would be too high up my legs but as I am not tall, it is fine. The pattern is lovely and the dress is light and cool - just right for the hot weather we have been having. The low back is not something that I have tried before but it makes the dress more interesting. An added bonus was that it was half price in the sale.

A little loose in fit but as a summer frock in the exceptionally hot weather we have had of late it is a marvellously luscious addition to my wardrobe. It is elegant in style and I love the navy stripe/floral design & the material is lightweight & soft. I loved this frock so much I have bought another in khaki.

This is the first garment I have bought so I was careful to look at measurements/sizes. I loved this style of dress,material,colour. The dress looks very elegant,beautifully cut and hangs fairly loosely giving just a hint of body shape. BUT the neckline is far too large. It is impossible to wear a normal bra. However as I was reluctant to return the dress , and not sure a size smaller would fit my hips, I found that if I wear a strapless bra , the dress sits on the edge of my shoulders and no underclothes are showing! Next season please fix the neck problem and I’ll buy another colour!

It's a very versatile dress and the colour is striking. I read comments about the weight of the fabric but I think it is perfect for summer.

Material looks cheap and washed out.

Very disappointed with the Oatmeal Palm. I have the navy one and it is lovely. In the photographs the oatmeal palm looks quite muted colours and the oatmeal, to me, shines through. But in reality the colours are very bold, dark even and it spoils the effect. Sadly I will return.

I liked the look of the palm print, but it didn't suit my fair skin and hair, so I had to return it.

Really liked this dress, thought it would feel too long, but great, bought to wear in India

I love the neckline and button back, but mildly disappointed with the fit and bulk created by the pockets. Also the fabric is quite flimsy, also has a cosy feel.

The second dress I have bought in this style as I loved the first so much last summer, I wanted one in a different colour. Bought a size 14 in pink thin stripe this time, and had a dark blue last time. Love the loose fit and scoop neck at the back with split detail at the bottom hem - looks so good from behind, a view that many dresses ignore, but I love. Great that is has pockets too! Material quite thin but lovely and cool on a hot day and sleeve length perfect.

this dress with its longer short sleeve, and all of them like it , would appear to suit 60+ yr olds but with that annoying low back is an immediate NoNo ......... what a pity.... Y.Andrews

OMG this arrived today and is the most flattering dress. I bought an 8 and it is spot on.

Nice enough dress - but it is very thin material - I already noticed a small hole in it. I can see it will be cool in the hot weather though.

This is a simple but elegant dress. I bought it in black size 10 and it is quite a relaxed fit, nicely understated with the scooped back. I'm hoping it will be a "go anywhere" dress.

So adored the look of this - from the front. Easily the most flattering dress I have ever tried on. I so wanted to keep it, but I could not keep the shoulders in place, the back neck was way too big for me. I couldn't see a way to tighten it, I think my shoulders may be narrow, and a size smaller would not have fitted me round the hips. Was so sad to have to return. Lovely fabric too. 💘

I recently bought this dress in black size 10 and being 5 foot 1 and 130 lbs was very happy with the fit and length which on me is nearly to my ankles. It is flattering and comfortable and I like the stretchy fabric which is not too thin. Looking for an opportunity to wear it now!

Ordered this in the Anenome. Lovely soft fabric and very well made. Stylish. But so so small! Had to send it back. I am ordering the next size up and hope that fits. Disappointed as yet more postage to pay out if I want it quickly..

My favourite summer dress by far. I’m a standard size 10 and the 10 was a perfect fit, not too clingy and not too loose. Feminine, simple and stylish. Love it!

A lovely easy fit dress, that still is shaped enough to feel stylish. I particularly like the length of the sleeves as they make this dress perfect for our changeable summer weather.

My dress arrived yesterday. I took it out of the packaging took one look at it knew it would fit, loved the colour and threw away the packaging. This morning I did indeed try it on, it is lovely, will be cool to wear, love the neckline, it feels so soft and flows elegantly over the body, so flattering, truly lovely if a little expensive.

I have purchased the pink version of this dress. The cut is excellent and it looks really lovely on. It’s slimming without clinging to any bulges!!! I’m a size 10 and it’s the right size for me. The buttoned back is pretty and dies not show my bra or fall off my shoulders. I love it! Well done Celtic

Very elegant dress, drapes beautifully, I got the navy which I felt would cover many occasions.

It’s quite a lightweight fabric, but when I tried it on, I thought the cut was really simple but stylish and the lightweight fabric will be appreciated on hot days. I just hope the linen won’t be scratchy against my skin.

Bought this last year in black , love it so bought in turquoise for this summer, not worn yet ( too cold) but fit feels same and colour gorgeous. I always wear a silk cami under to solve any see ‘through ‘ issues . Such a flattering shape and length on , I’m size 18 and 5’ 9 and have had many flattering comments when wearing this style.

I bought this dress in navy. When it arrived, it had a small fault so I rang customer services who arranged a replacement without any fuss. I returned the dress the same day using the free service (label online), and the new dress arrived three days later - great customer service. I love the dress. The style is flattering, and it will be cool for hot weather home and abroad. It is light and will pack easily. It is fine for day and evening wear as it can be dressed up or worn simply during the day.

Disappointing. I was expecting better quality for the price. Nice tailoring. However, the material is flimsy and see through!. It will be nice in warmer weather.

I purchased this dress in navy when the design first came out and was delighted with it (and even wrote a very positive review) so when I saw the same design in a vibrant pink I decided to buy another one. What a disappointment. The fabric is nowhere near the same quality as my first purchase. So thin you would need to wear something underneath on a sunny day! Needless to say, returned. I hate having to say this as I have always been delighted with all of my Celtic & Co purchases.
