Very much a mixed picture from me on this. First of all, customer service were excellent in fixing my problems. They were quick and responsive. My issue is that these slippers are a very different shape from the previous pair I bought from Celtic a few years back. The previous pair had a slightly tapered toe shape, which meant that the foot is guided more towards the heel, making for a snug overall fit. But the latest pair has a more square-shaped toe, which means the foot slides forward and therefore the heel slips. I guess that is just a comment about my foot shape. I am normally a UK10. My previous Celtic slippers were a UK11 and fitted well because of the toe shape. But the new ones, which I also ordered as a UK11 to match the previous size, were too big and so I had to order a replacement in UK10. My problem, and the key reason for the overall 3-star review is that the returns process is complex compared to the experience I get from other online retailers. It's not possible to simply order a replacement from Celtic. The process works by returning the first item, ordering a completely separate, new item and then phoning customer service to get a refund of the difference in price. As stated, customer service was happy to help, but this process is complex for the customer.

really good comfortable and versatile slippers - a little surprised by the price increase but that is probably due to them lasting so long. Good prompt service always.

Beautifully made and very comfortable. The wearer is very difficult to please when it comes to footwear but is very happy with these.

Bought for my partner to wear downstairs as the perfect partner for your soft soled moccasins he wears on the carpets upstairs. He is equally delighted with them. Soft leather, warm sheepswool lining and beautifully crafted.

Unfortunately these are rather too small to be comfortable. This is disappointing as the details clearly state that it will be tight-feeling at first, so I persevered for a day and in the process of wearing them around the house and hoping they would give a little, as per the instructions, managed to mark them. So now I have an expensive pair of slippers that are much shorter than any other size 9 shoe (and I'm a size 9 in *everything*, from wellies to trainers to business shoes to motorcycle boots) which I can no longer return for exchange. Nicely made, and they are warm, but simply not made to the size they are meant to be and in consequence I can't see myself wearing them.

Delighted with my slippers. Identical to my last pair and very comfortable.

Perfect fit, pile bedded down within a couple of hours and these are the warmest slippers I have owned. High quality finish and strongly recommend.
