In 2022, I ordered these beautiful boots in Olive. I just got online to order another pair only to find that they are no longer available. I was surprised and wondered why until I read the reviews. The big complaint was that the rubber sole of the heel wore down quickly. I've only worn my boots a handful of times and never even thought to check the soles. So I just pulled the boots out of my closet and was shocked to see that, yes, the rubber soles of the heels are quite worn down on both boots, just as other customers stated. I'm only writing this review with the hopes that C&C can find a source to replicate this unique, gorgeous, comfy boot with a sturdier, tougher sole that lasts. I've gotten more compliments on these boots than any other shoe I've worn--from friends to total strangers wanting to know where I got them. I'll now wear them only indoors and monitor the soles so I can get them replaced before they wear down to the wood.

Gorgeous boots, very comfortable but quite difficult to get on and off due to the zip not going all the way to the top and there being no loop to help pull them on!

I love these boots! I bought them in March of 2022 in blue, the color is lovely. They were comfortable right out of the box because you can adjust the fit with the laces. I walk a fair amount (up to two miles at a time if I miss the bus) in mostly urban conditions, including snow and slush, 19 months after purchase. They still look and feel great. Other reviewers have complained about the soles, with as often as I wear mine the soles look perfect. Which considering I have a problem with pronation is kind of amazing. My estimate is it will be at least three more years before I have to have them re-soled, assuming I can still find a cobbler in this throw away economy.

I am surprised that Celtic & Co. is still selling such a low-quality product. Like many other reviewers, the soles of my boots looked like I had them for 5 years after wearing them a handful if times. I live in the US, so I'm not going to send them back to you. Thievery least you could do would be to offer to send another set of the soles so that I could get them fixed over here. That's what Fluvog does. I love your clothing, but won't be buying any more footwear from you.

I bought these boots and loved them. Owned them less than a year - the zips broke and the sole disintegrated. I ended up leaving them in a bin at an airport (thankfully had my trainers with me). The suede practically looked like new. Such a shame! Not what I expect.

Absolutely loved these gorgeous boots when I purchased them, but really expected them to last more than one season for the price. On starting to wear them again this Autumn, found the heels were completely worn down so have had to re-heel, one of the laces had totally frayed so have had to replace them and now the stitching on one of the zips has come away halfway down so zip doesn't function properly so am going to have to either get that repaired or buy new boots. Unfortunately, will not be buying these again as expect more than just a fashion boot for occasional wear for this price. Back to Timberland/Doc Martens for a good sturdy long-lasting leather boot.

Celtic and Company Wilderness Boots review Well I’m very sad because I really love the look and feel of these boots. I can still wear them, but for the $400+ US dollars it took for my husband to get them for me last Christmas, one would think they would last longer than a few wearings. I live in a humid hot climate in the spring and summer so, while I got to wear them a few times after Christmas, they were put away in the closet come Spring and I pulled them out in October to wear when it cooled down. And that is when I saw the stitching had come loose. The company only takes returns for 6 months I’m told though I would not want to return them, I would like a replacement or a repair. These boots are super comfortable and I love the look. But the sturdiness of the construction has a lot to be desired. Very disappointed, especially since there are so many other C&C products I like the look of, but I just can’t trust the quality for the cost. Ultimately I’ll try to get my boots repaired so they don’t look shabby when I wear them, but certainly less than I expected after spending so much $$$$ for only a few wears when going out to dinner, or flying and sitting on an airplane. These boots don’t hold up to even gentle wear. Very disappointed.
