I adore these boots . I got a size up from what I usually wear so that I can wear with thick wool socks in winter time. These boots are well made ~ strong and beautiful. I don't usually pay so much for boots but I fell in love with these and decided to treat myself and I am more than happy that I did. They are comfortable ~ practical and to me beautiful. One thing that could be a valuable and practical extra to receive from the company could be a guide as to how best to take care of these boots. A small extra like this could help ease the fact that they are highly priced.
Beautiful boots lovely quality leather im a size 4 in footwear and size 12 in clothing. Unfortunately the boots fitted perfectly on the foot but the calves on boots are way too narrow.
I’ve learned to go up 1 size for Portuguese-footware and indeed the fit was perfect. I like enough room to wear good wool socks and the up-sizing provides for that. If you only wear tights, you may choose to stay with your regular size. (I wear 39 in Birks). These boots were an absolute splurge, but from the moment I put them on, they were comfortable and looked great with skirts, dresses, and straight-leg pants. Love, love, love after pondering for a few years.
I have wide feet and slim calves so I really struggle to buy boots knee high boots. However, thanks to the lacing I was able to adjust these to fit me. They are so warm and comfortable and beautiful quality. On their first outing they were complimented on. I bought the black suede but have waited so long to find boots of this fit and quality that I've now bought the brown leather as well. Equally gorgeous!
