Behind The Scenes – New Season 2018 Photoshoot
As the hint of warmer, lighter times is upon us, we’ve put together a collection to help ease the transition between seasons.
Here's some behind the scenes footage of us bringing our new collection to life, here in beautiful Cornwall.
For our New Season 2018 shoot, we wanted our fresh collection to be placed in natural surroundings that had a different vibe to the Cornish coast backdrop we've always used. As the collection was designed as seasonless, to see you through from winter into early summer, we also wanted the scenery to be seasonless too and ambiguous to where in the world it was being shot. So after a few recces, we found the stunning Hustyn Mine Park.
Hidden in the depths of Cornwall on a 100 acre farm, not far from Wadebridge, Hustyn Mine Park offers accommodation in the form of quaint cottages, quirky huts and luxurious glamping. Surrounded by fields and woodland, streams and ponds, the Dibbles Cottage gave us a great space for the team to set up an outside studio on the veranda and the cute Shepard's Hut with it's pine forest views, gave us the romantic getaway feel we were going for.
After shooting our new knitwear and homeware, we also utilised the space within the glamping tent at Hustyn Mine Park, which was the perfect setting for footwear shots of our sheepskin slippers and boots. Known as Tent Courtney, it stands on 15ft high wooden platforms, seemingly rising out of the dramatic pine forests below and features everything you'd expect from a self-catering cottage, not a tent! Like the other properties in the mine park, it was simply stunning and now all of us here at Celtic want to book up a mini-break there.
After a jammed packed day in the Cornish countryside, we headed back to Celtic & Co here in Newquay to take some final shots. We wanted to use the industrial setting of our very own car park where a corrugated steel hanger gave a great aviation feel to the photos of our model Amelie wearing our classic sheepskin jacket styles. Although vastly different to the natural setting of the cottage and hut at Hustyn Mine Park, the industrial edge kept with the adventurous getaway theme we sought for our new catalogue.
Our New Season collection includes our iconic sheepskin outerwear in slightly lighter styles, as well as waxed cotton to keep you dry during the showers. Fresh linen and organic styles are the perfect base layer, with your favourite chunky knits in Geelong and merino in fresh new colours. We hope you love discovering our new collection as much as we have loved bringing it together for you - enjoy!
