Celtic & Co extends partnership with reGAIN app
As pioneers of slow fashion and advocates of a circular economy we create timeless pieces that are built to last. The fast fashion industry relies on people updating their wardrobes with every new trend leading to £140 million or roughly 350,000 tonnes of used but wearable clothing making its way to landfill every year. We encourage people to breathe life into their old clothes by using the reGAIN app.
We joined the efforts of the team behind the reGAIN app in December 2018, to offer customers an easy, digital way to do good and donate unwanted clothes to charity. In return they receive an exclusive discount of 15% plus free postage to shop new, sustainable clothes with us. Today we have renewed our commitment and prolonged this partnership.
The reGAIN app has grown to be a community of over 80k app users and 75 retailers, having sent over 45,000 packages (each of minimum 10 items) of unwanted clothes and shoes to charity shops, diverting them from ending in landfill.
We hope that this initiative helps to push the rethinking of customers and fashion brands towards a more circular fashion industry.
