When trying on your footwear for the first time, it may feel very tight across your toes and instep. This is nothing to worry about, as within an hour or so of wearing, the boots or slippers will loosen off as the wool starts to bed down and mould to your feet. So do not order a size bigger than you usually wear, otherwise they will end up too big for you. If you know you are a half size – then we recommend buying the size down unless you regularly buy up a half size.

My Aqualamb boots are brilliant. I love the colour and the grippy sole, they are incredibly comfortable and easy to pull on. I have had the ordinary Celt boots before and so was sure of the sizing, my normal size 6 shoe size is fine. I am not sure about the unfinished top edge it makes it easier to pull over trousers but will it lose its shape over time? As always really efficient delivery and service. Many thanks.

Hi Patricia, I've certainly never heard of the raw edges loosing their shape over time. Think you'll have many happy years in your boots! :)

Hesitated which size to choose as I'm a 5 and half, but plumped for the 5 and its a little snug but I think it will 'bed down' the more I wear them. I love the warmth and comfort. I purchased the boots to wear mainly when working the night shift to keep my ankles warm, and they work brilliantly. In fact when I took them off at home It felt really chilly like something was missing. I do agree with Rosemary's comment about it would be nice if the cut edge was bound.

These boots are totally awesome. Even in our warm climate (Arizona and Soutnern California USA) I find the way to enjoy these boots, whether wnen travelling to the north or just wearing them with... shorts and tanned legs (California thing)! On cooler days i wear them with soft slouch dress by Celtic and Co and a pair of boot socks. I have to admit, it is much better product than mass-produced Uggs. Got to buy another pair and stash them away, just in case they will stop making them or start outsourcing... love that Made in Great Britain part!

Definitely no plans to stop or ever outsource but it's always handy to have a second pair ready to go :-)
