Injecting a little extra attitude into a long-standing favourite, our popper boots offer two chic looks in one super-cosy package. Hand crafted in Cornwall from 100% British shearling with double-stitched construction, these boots can be ordered in a calf or knee length.
Roll them down to reveal the fleecy cuff inside, or turn them up and fasten the poppers to keep your legs toasty on frosty days. The tonal sole features a ridged texture to improve grip in challenging conditions, and a Celtic & Co. flag at the back lends a signature signoff to each pair.
Available in:
Calf height: 11½"
Knee height: 17"
Product code: 2008
Material
Made with 100% Shearling: There's a reason why we use shearling so much. This incredible material balances form with function, offering a chic look with lightweight insulation in the winter and temperature regulation when the warmer months roll around.
For these reasons and many more, we guarantee you'll be turning to this stylish investment time after time!
Size & Fit
Tip - Leave poppers done up when first trying them on. It will often feel as if the skin can't stretch around your calf if undone, however leaving them done up and slip your foot in like a normal boot, should overcome this.
When trying on your footwear for the first time, it may feel very tight across your toes and instep. This is nothing to worry about, as within an hour or so of wearing, the boots or slippers will loosen off as the wool starts to bed down and mould to your feet. So do not order a size bigger than you usually wear, otherwise they will end up too big for you. If you know you are a half size – then we recommend buying the size down unless you regularly buy up a half size.
Care
30 Degree Gentle Machine Wash
Put the boots in a pillowcase to avoid drum marks from the washing machine. Machine wash on a 30 degree wool cycle with Celtic Wool Wash. This is the only wool wash that has been tried and tested over many years on our sheepskin footwear, so while others are available we can’t be sure that you will get the same results if you use them.

Write a reviewI have had a pair of these for years and I wear them as ‘slippers’ rather than as outdoor boots. We live in an old house which can be quite draughty, so these are the perfect choice to keep those calf height chills at bay. They have lasted exceptionally well.
Purchased these after having the non popper ones, returned as I didn’t like the extra bulk due to the poppers, made my legs look wide. However the boots are perfect just not for me unfortunately and I will probably buy some more non poppers, wish they had the chestnut shade in both styles.
I have owned my popper knee high boots for 14 years machine wash so well I’m about to order another pair in a different colour they are still as good as the day I bought them I practically live in them in the winter.
Absolutely Delighted with these Boots, Quality and Standard Second to None. Would Definitely Recommend. Also Beautifully Packaged and Arrived Promptly. Thankyou.
As usual very good service and very helpful on phone with query Would recommend to all ages
Wanted to love these boots but really couldn't get on with them. Very odd design. Foot area felt way to "baggy" and I have wider than average feet. Despite ordering my usual size my feet fell out of the foot area when I walked so didn't feel safe. The leg area was a bit on the tight side too so the poppers didn't sit flat. I have a 42cm calf so the boot was too narrow for me. Odd sizing, the leg width doesn't feel in proportion to what feels like an overly large foot area. Also, boots were not "finished" around the edged, just cut without a nice binding/trim. Sadly I had to send back for a refund. Ordered 14th March, received on 17th & returned on 19th. Returns were simple, downloadable prepaid label on Royal Mail website. The boots were delivered back to company on 20th March. 5 days later (25th) I received an email to say refund was processed and will show within 7 working days which will be anytime up to 5th April (today is the 28th and it is yet to show). This is much slower than some other companies I've used where my funds have been back in my account within a few days of the product having arrived back with them. Would I order again from Celtic and CO? Probably not.

We are sorry to hear that on this occasion the boots were not suitable for you. We aim to have all returns processed within 7-14 days. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards Celtic & Co
Truly wonderful - can be worn full length or scrumpled down to high calf length, they are so supple. WOULD be perfect - if only the heel/ankle could be a bit less wide.
I love these boots! So comfortable and toasty and they look pretty good too. I’ve hardly taken them off since I bought them. They’re well made and gorgeous sheepskin.
3rd pair bought what other can I say...really warm & can be washed
Ordered these in Mocca, size 8 (my normal shoe size). Despite these being out of stock they arrived ahead of estimated time. They are a perfect fit and keep me toasty warm from toe to knee. The mocca/black contrast is very stylish. Highly recommended.
