Breathe in for a count of 7 and out for 11, then repeat until you feel more calm.

Deep breathing stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, resulting in the relaxation response.
The key is in those slow, controlled outward breaths. So the next time you feel anxious, remember the maxim 'If in doubt, breathe out'.
