Fashion Revolution Week 2022

18th - 24th April

Every year at Celtic & Co. we support Fashion Revolution Week.

The campaign brings together people from the world of fashion to encourage change in the industry for people and the planet. The theme for this year’s campaign is MONEY FASHION POWER, raising awareness around the exploitation of labour and natural resources, and fuelling discussions around the actions we can take to make a difference.

Here at Celtic & Co. we believe in safe, sustainable production. Using waste products from the farming industry, we craft our sheepskin boots and slippers by hand. Our skilled production team are all paid at least the Real Living Wage recognising their expertise and talent in UK manufacturing, and our location right next to the beautiful Cornish coast means they are all able to live a rewarding lifestyle outside of work. Many of our team make time to appreciate the environment where we live and work in Cornwall, achieving a good work-life balance.

We found out what some of our skilled and valued team like to do in their spare time…

Natasha joined our team last August. With a career dedicated to footwear manufacturing, and a background in footwear design, she really champions our Made in Britain ethos. She loves to make things by sewing and crochet for her big family that she brought up right here in Cornwall.

An enthusiastic runner, Carl likes taking routes around the South West Coast Path whilst taking in some of the stunning views around our Cornish coastline. Fun fact, he also really enjoys skateboarding.

Our factory manager Stuart enjoys walking and exploring different parts of Cornwall. He is also a volunteer firefighter in his spare time. He believes the main benefit of having our footwear factory located here in Cornwall is that the team genuinely want to be here, as they enjoy living and working in the county with our beautiful natural surroundings.
