WHAT IS ALPACA WOOL?

This type of wool is gathered from sheering the natural fibres which grow on alpacas. The two different breeds of alpaca from which this yarn is sourced are the Huacaya; a more classic, fluffy alpaca, and the Suri; growing a longer, silkier style of wool.

HOW IS ALPACA WOOL MADE?

This animal derived fibre is more similar to hair than wool.
Sourced from South American alpaca's, the sheared fleece is cleaned and assorted by colour before being twisted, washed, air-dried, and finally spun.
