Woodsman Suede Boots

I bought a pair of these years ago and have been really wanting to get another pair in dark blue. Please bring those back!

Sadly I returned these Woodsman boots. I ordered them thinking that they would be like my original pair 7 or 8 years old. My original one are lined with fleece material and the leather was nicer. They wear really well and the reduced ones are a bargain but not a nice as my original pair.

I love these boots, bought a pair years ago, and they’re still in pretty good nick, so, given they were in the sale, I thought I’d treat myself to a pair in green. As with my first pair, they are a lovely colour, great quality leather and beautifully made. Because I have a high instep, I had to loosen the laces over the tops of my feet a little, which was a bit fiddly, because the leather is thick and new, but they fit perfectly now. All in all, I’m very happy with them, and recommend them to others all the time! ☺️

Absolutely love these boots - I have a pair in brown and now the khaki (olive) just one tiny thing … CELTIC and Co PLEASE PLEASE bring them back in navy and black so I can order … I can’t source a pair anywhere in these colours !!

I bought my Woodsman boots in 2018 and have pretty much worn them everyday from October - March for the last 6 years. I've literally just come onto the Celtic website now to order a replacement pair - I'll still be wearing my original ones in the garden but as they now have a slight hole where the upper has come away from the sole, I'm treating myself to a new pair! They are warm, comfortable (feel a little tight to start with but quickly ease to shape of your foot) and accommodating of my wide feet.

Nice boots, although very much on the expensive side. I had to return, the calves were just too tight : ladies with larger calves should avoid this style.

I returned these boots as the foot part was too small (depth, width and length) although the ankle and leg part were fine. Even had they fitted, I'd have returned them because, as my son said on seeing them, 'They look as though someone's been playing footie in them.' The brown suede was so badly scuffed on the toes and one side that it was as shiny as leather - I doubt that anything would bring the pile back up. The boots are beautiful and it's a great shame. This is the first time I've had to return anything to C&C. (I am not 9 foot 11 but see no reason why I should have to provide my height when it comes to boots.)

The boots arrived previously worn. I was shocked as they are not cheap. The soles were dirty and the heels worn down. I waited years to be able to get these boots and i am very dissapointed. Terrible quality.

Have had my eye on these boots for a while now and finally decided to purchase. So happy I did! They are exactly what I wanted and it is hard to get good quality winter boots in Australia that are also the look I wanted. Comfortable from the first wear and they fit perfectly. Love them!

I have worn these boots most of the winter, so comfortable, keep my feet warm through all the wet, mud, ice. They look good with jeans and long skirts. Brilliant boots.

Just treated myself to a pair of Woodman boots in brown. They arrived quickly and are just what I was looking for. Really well made and different to any others I’ve seen. I sized up as I like to wear thick socks with boots but they are true to size. Easy to get on as they have a side zip, I put them on straight away and wore them all day. They are so warm and comfortable. I highly recommend them!

I was so excited to buy these boots, and was gutted when they came. The quality was very poor, one of the boots was damaged and folded over at the top and they looked like they’d been worn already, the soles were dirty. I sent them straight back for a refund. I had my eye on these for ages so was so disappointed that they didn’t match the quality shown on the website.

I bought Celtic and Co.’s equivalent boot, ‘Wilds Boot’ last winter. I am posting this review to make sure I warn prospective buyers that this company misleads customers about their footwear. advertised boots which did not live up to their premium price tag? The similar ‘Wilds Boots’ were described as ‘The ultimate footwear for heading off the beaten track’ but the heels came apart after a few months of light wear. They were never worn in wet conditions, only cold. They were barely worn at all. I didn’t wear them in the rain and I didn’t wear them as anything other than fashion boots and yet, the ‘wooden’ block of the heel quickly became swollen and came away from the rubber sole. Now, after returning them, the customer care spokesperson responded with an entirely false assumption, bordering on accusation, and offered no apology and no recompense. I emailed the company a few months ago to and supplied pictures of the heels. They requested I sent them back for inspection. The response I have received is unsatisfactory. Here is the customer service you can expect: “Good afternoon, thank you for sending in your boots for inspection After inspection I can see that the issue with the back heels on both boot is because they have been in wet conditions for a prolonged amount of time and the binding is swollen causing this to come away. The leather boots we sell are not water proof/resistant and are sold as a fashion boot not a walking / hiking boot. Unfortunatley this does mean we are unable to refund or replace this item and as we do not make these boots in house we are unable to resole the sole for you. I am sorry that this outcome may cause disappointment to you. I will arrange for the boots to be sent back to you Kind regards, Carly” Three issues here: - The lack of acknowledgment or apology for the poor quality of the boots - The disparity between the description of the boots as advertised and the description of them as non water/weather proof, solely fashion boots - The refusal to refund or replace them or even offer any sort of token of compensation. If Celtic & Co are going to charge the premium prices and claim to sell premium products, they are going to have to do better with the quality of their products, advertise them accurately, and do a lot, lot better with post purchase customer care.

I have to say I am disappointed with these boots.They are extremely difficult to get on ,feels like I have to contort my foot and ankle.Also issue with zip.I tried wearing them to "break them in" but think they have been an expensive mistake.Thought these boots were going to be really comfortable! Sadly I have thrown away the box and packing,thinking they were going to be amazing.I cannot wear these boots and you probably won`t let me return them? The left boot is a little smaller than the right boot and the right boot has an issue with the zipper, which keeps getting stuck!

Prior to buying these shoes I read a ton of the reviews. The main criticism was that the zip kept snagging. I decided to order these anyway since they were on sale, and sadly they were in fact let down by the zip! Aesthetically the shoes are lovely and they look great in person. I literally returned them because of the zip. Straight away I couldn't unzip one of the boots to even get it on! I thought it would be because it was snagging on the lining, but that actually wasn't the case for me. There are these suede flaps on the inside of the boot just behind the zip, and it was catching on that. I think there was an alignment issue with the flap that caused the zip to run into it. The only way to unzip it was to hold the flap out of the way while unzipping -- how annoying! One of the shoes was perfectly fine; only one of them had a zip issue. So I imagine a big part of this is luck of the draw: either you get a dodgy zip or you don't. If it weren't for the zip I would have considered keeping them, but as it was I knew I'd be frustrated every time I took the shoes off and on. What a bummer. From reading other reviews it sounds like the zip has been a reported problem for years. It's a shame they haven't done anything to try to improve the quality.

These boots are extremely narrow.

These boots are beautiful but sadly not for me. I chose a size smaller which Celtic & Co recommended and the boots were too tight and too short. I was disappointed and have returned them.

Oh dear, its seems that feedback regarding the zips has not been taken on board as promised by Celtic and Co. I have just received my pair (Sept 2024) and the zips on both boots are horrendous. My husband finally managed to get them both undone after much swearing and sore fingers. This is not acceptable for such expensive boots and I am shocked at the poor design and quality of this product. I am also sad, because they look lovely- you just can't wear them easily (or if you do wear them, you can't take them off!!!). In terms of fit, length wise they are a little big, width wise they are narrow (although I only put my foot in while the zip was undone as I was not brave enough to try and zip them up again). I won't be reordering as this is clearly a persistent fault that has not been rectified.

I absolutely love these boots. I have bought a second pair as the first pair has lasted for 3 years so worth the money. Very reasonable price and beautifully made. Highly recommended.

I bought these in brown 5 years ago and they have been fantastic. I'm about to buy a sec9nd pair in a different colour. Would highly recommend them

I think these are a great pair of practical yet stylish boots. They have good width for the widest part of my feet which means I can wear a warm pair of socks with them. The width in the leg is ideal for wearing jeans inside the boots. My only difficulty was choosing the colour. I opted for navy as I thought that for me it is a versatile colour. I would also have like the beautiful olive green.

Faulty zip on right foot boot so poor quality control. Considering the cost of the product I feel this is unacceptable. I have shopped at Celtic and co for many years now so find this very disappointing

I found these boots when looking for a waterproof coat. They are just what I wanted. Warm, waterproof and fit perfectly. I like the height of the boot on my legs as I am 5ft 1”.

The boot is lovely but the zips are really bad. They don’t work and so for an expensive boot I would expect a better quality.

This is my second pair of Woodsman boots from Celtic and Co. The first pair lasted over 6 years and remain in my garage albeit a bit too tatty to wear now. The secobd pair have been brill. Bought in June 2021 all was well until the zip broke this week. Having difficulty contacting Celtic on line to report this as it would not be a conventional return. I would expected the zip to last longer. Hopefully, they will pick this up and contact me.

I returned these boots on the 8th February, 11 days ago. The zip was faulty on the right boot and kept getting stuck. I have not received an email as confirmation of return nor have I received my refund. I hope that this will be rectified soon.
