Wool vs Synthetic

At Celtic & Co. we love all things wool. The Campaign for Wool along with their patron HRH The Prince of Wales have created a video highlighting the difference between synthetic and wool fibres. Environmental issues are very close to our hearts and we agree that using wool has a significantly reduced environmental impact. Acrylic, Nylon, Polyester fibres are all oil based plastics with high environmental impact to the planet unlike wool that biodegrades fully on the land and ocean. For more information view our blogs all about slow fashion here.

Two Jumpers - What's the Difference? When wool is disposed of in soil or water, it takes a very short time to break down, whereas most synthetics and plastics are extremely slow to degrade, if at all. Every one of us can make a difference, not just today but everyday.

Wool is a wonderful natural fibre and we are fully behind the Campaign for Wool and their mission to encourage more people to shop sustainably.
